Meet Tina

Optometric Assistant
Introducing Tina, our dedicated Optometric Assistant at Kamloops Family Vision Clinic (KFVC), where she has been an integral part of our team since May 15, 2004. With nearly 20 years of experience, Tina brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate touch to our clinic.
From her early years in Saskatoon, SK, Tina discovered her passion for helping people, aspiring to become a nurse. This love for assisting others has guided her career, making her a valuable asset at the front desk and in our pre-exam room, where she prepares patients for their examinations with the Optometrist.
Tina’s journey in the field of optometry began in Canmore, AB, where she worked for a year and a half before joining our team in Kamloops. Born in Saskatoon, Tina spent most of her life in Kamloops and currently resides in the city with her family.
With a personal mantra of “Just breathe,” Tina navigates the demands of her job and life with a calm and composed demeanor. The most fulfilling aspect of her role is being able to help people, a sentiment that reflects in her dedication to patient care.
One of Tina’s proudest accomplishments is her nearly two-decade-long tenure at KFVC, a testament to her commitment and contributions to the clinic. Outside of work, Tina enjoys reading, cherishing those moments of relaxation and literary exploration.
In her leisure time, Tina unwinds with the music of Taylor Swift and finds comfort in the timeless appeal of Christmas movies. Dreaming of a tropical escape, Hawaii tops Tina’s list of dream destinations—a place she envisions visiting to experience its beauty and tranquility.
If given a superpower for a day, Tina would choose telekinesis, desiring the ability to move and manipulate objects with her mind. With her extensive experience and caring nature, Tina plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive and personalized experience for our patients at KFVC.
